The most famous and tenacious of the
early American warships, "Old Ironsides" earned her nickname during
an intense naval skirmish in 1812 when a barrage of British cannon
balls bounced off her oak sides. Laumched in 1797 at Boston Harbor
(where she can still be seen today), this historic frigate is the
oldest commissioned warship still afloat. She is faithfully reproduced
in this handcrafted wooden scaled replica. |

Built in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, she is in all details of hull, rigging
and sail plan similar to the first Bluenose. Today, she cruises Nova
